Tracy Brockhouse: Graphic Designer

Exploring other professions and creatively sharing their stories is the joy of being a graphic designer. Throughout my career, I have learned a great deal about the following industries and ways to make them shine:

non-profits / hotels / restaurants / interior designers / wedding venues / caterers / lawyers / rug and furniture makers / tea houses and spas / jam makers / florists and farmers / authors / musicians / schools / fitness studios / bakers / etc.

Experiencing different locations has greatly expanded my perspective and influenced my work. In addition to traveling all over the country for projects, living in each of these locations has played a significant role in shaping my journey as a designer.

  • NASHVILLE: High School Internship at design firm in hometown

  • INDIANA: B.A. in Fine Arts & Graphic Design at I.U. Bloomington

  • LONDON: Work study at small design firm in England

  • CHICAGO: Graphic design production work

  • ATLANTA: Creative Circus graphic design graduate

  • NORTH CAROLINA: Graphic designer at small firm in Winston-Salem

  • MINNEAPOLIS: Freelanced and visited as many small studios as possible

  • LAS VEGAS: Worked in a small design firm as well as a larger ad agency doing international work

  • NORTH CAROLINA: Formed bluebird design studios, making invitations (the intricate, unexpected, and delightful kind)

  • MAINE: Home Sweet Home

Creating effective design solutions for companies, both large and small, continues here in Portland, Maine under my freelance name, Woodford Design Studios.
